Our Commitment to Accuracy

At FeDlan News | FN Newsroom, accuracy is not an aspiration—it is a responsibility. Every article we publish is prepared with the goal of presenting information that is fair, well-sourced, and faithful to the facts available at the time of publication. We recognize, however, that journalism is a human endeavor and that mistakes can occur despite careful editing and review.

When errors are identified, we believe the best response is to correct them promptly, transparently, and without hesitation.

How We Handle Corrections

If we discover that a story contains a factual error, misleading statement, or inaccurate quotation, we will review the issue as quickly as possible. Once verified, the article will be updated to reflect the correct information.

Depending on the nature of the error, we may:

  • Correct spelling, grammar, formatting, or typographical mistakes without issuing a formal editor’s note.
  • Add a clarification when language or context could reasonably lead to misunderstanding.
  • Publish a correction notice when a factual claim, statistic, attribution, or material detail was inaccurate.
  • In exceptional circumstances, substantially revise or remove content that no longer meets our editorial standards or contains significant inaccuracies.

Our objective is not to erase mistakes but to ensure readers have access to the most accurate version of the record.

Transparency Matters

When a significant correction is made after publication, we strive to include a note explaining what changed and why. We believe readers deserve to know when material information has been updated rather than having revisions made silently.

Minor edits that do not affect the substance or meaning of an article—such as fixing punctuation or formatting—may be made without a public notice.

Reader Feedback

We value readers who point out possible errors or omissions. Constructive feedback helps improve our reporting and strengthens public trust.

If you believe an article contains inaccurate information, please contact our editorial team with:

  • The headline or URL of the article.
  • The specific information you believe is incorrect.
  • Supporting evidence or reliable sources, if available.
  • Your contact information in case clarification is needed.

Every credible correction request will be reviewed on its merits, regardless of who submits it.

Opinion and Analysis

Many articles published by FeDlan News | FN Newsroom include opinion, commentary, or analysis. While opinions may differ, factual assertions within opinion pieces are expected to meet the same standards of accuracy as our news reporting.

If an opinion article relies on an incorrect factual premise or contains a material factual error, we will correct or clarify it in accordance with this policy.

Evolving Stories

News develops over time. Initial reports may later be supplemented by court filings, official statements, newly released documents, or additional evidence. When this occurs, we may update previously published articles to reflect the latest verified information.

Such updates should not be interpreted as admissions of error when they simply incorporate new facts that were unavailable at the time of publication.

Editorial Independence

Corrections are made based on evidence and editorial judgment—not because of political pressure, public campaigns, advertiser interests, or outside influence. Our responsibility is to our readers and to the integrity of the published record.

Our Standard

Trust is earned one story at a time. By acknowledging mistakes, correcting them openly, and continually improving our reporting, FeDlan News | FN Newsroom seeks to maintain a publication that readers can rely on for thoughtful reporting, informed opinion, and a commitment to factual accuracy.
